Links of useful websites in Denmark

1. Rejseplanen - This link is useful to check bus / metro / train connections when you're going to visit an unknown place and don't have any idea how to get there. It's easy, just tap your home address (or wherever you are standing at the moment) and tap your destination address and enter the time when you wish to leave / arrive.
2. Krak - This website provides a very good map of Denmark and also serve as a white page phone book. You can basically find someone and his / her phone number if you know the name / address. You can also find services here but Eniro is better for that. Those who don't take public transportations / have their own cars / bicycles and don't have a GPS, this site provides a very informative and step by step guide to reach your destination based on where to turn, how many meters to drive / bike and so on.
3. Bibliotek - If you want to borrow that book but your library's municipality library doesn't have one, you can order online from this site and have the book delivered right to your library for you to pick it up. This service is easy and free and it contains database of all the books in all libraries in Denmark. I use this service all the time since my municipality's library (Tårnby Kommunebibliotek) is rather small and don't have so many books in English.
4. Ny I Danmark - This site is a must-read for all foreigners in Denmark. It's the website of the notorious Danish Immigration Office and the information put up there are incredibly important. Make sure you read all the rules and know when you should renew that visa / permit before you get fined.
5. Borger - This title of this site translates to "citizen" or "resident". It gives you all information that you need to know about how things work in Denmark. If you want to buy that apartment but you're not sure if you can buy one due to your alien status in Denmark, you should check this site. It's very useful but unfortunately it's only in Danish.
6. Kino - This is the site of the biggest cinema chain in Denmark. You can check out all the upcoming movies and book tickets. Small cinemas are not included in this site, it's only those who are under the flag of Nordic Biograferne chain with the polar bear and the world logo on it.
7. TVTID - It's the television guide, online. Of course there are not many channels available here but only the basic ones, but hey if you can afford a lot of channels surely you can afford to buy one of those useless TV guide magazines, no? *grins*
8. Price comparison websites - You want to buy a computer? Or something related to it? Go visit EDBPriser. If you want to compare electronic appliances in general you can go to PriceRunner or Kelkoo to find which shop sell the cheapest stuff. When everything is already expensive in Denmark, you want to find the cheap ones, right?
9. Is it already the time for holiday again? You better check out the cheapest ticket at Momondo. I have used this website several time and can hardly find any bad things to say about it. It's great and it's updated. I found my cheap tickets from here.
10. MedicinPriser - This website gives you information about how much a certain medicine costs in the pharmacy. It's good to find how much you're going to pay so that you won't be shocked when the pharmacists tell you how expensive your medicine is. Yes, medical service is for free here, but not the medicines.
11. Tilbudsugen - This website has a database of all offers from your supermarkets so if you need to buy that vacuum cleaner but don't want to open every advertisement from Punkt1, Føtex, Bilka, Kvickly, Elgiganten and many more, you can just type it here and let the website finds you which supermarket / shop has the best offer for the vacuum cleaner of your dream.
12. AOK (Alt om København) - This website is for Copenhagen residents only. It gives all the information about what's happening in the capital of Denmark, where to see, where to eat and where to go. All with honest reviews.
13. DBA (Den Blå Avis) - It's the website of the famous blue paper. Got anything to sell or thinking of buying second hand things? It's the right place to go. You can narrow down your search to your regions (that's if you want to pick up the things yourself) and the price you want to pay. Some advertisements require you to pay some small amount of money but some are free. But if you're into the auction stuff and you can't find any ebay here in Denmark, then QXL and macca are probably your thing.
14. Markedskalender - I like flea market. No, change that into "love", instead of just "like". There are so many cute (and surprisingly wonderful) things you can find in flea market, but it's hard to find when there's a flea market coming near your place, but you can just peep the site to find out about it.
15. Eniro - I almost forget about this one. As I mentioned above, Eniro is like the web version of yellow pages, with a map. Enough said.I'll update it when I find / remember other important links. Hope that's useful for you all

As far as the taxes are concerned, it varies according to your salary slab and other conditions.e.g. if you are coming here for a short period and as a contractor then the you will pay comparatively less taxes.
You will get plenty of Indian groceries and other stuff in Copenhagen.

Last Sunday me and some of my friends have visited a Temple near Herlev, CPH. It was nice taking part in the Bhajan programme there. The temple is called 'Bharatiya Mandir'.
There were many Indians from different regions of India, but mostly from North India. The Bhajan takes place from 1700 Hrs to 1830 Hrs every Sunday. For those who do not know about it, here is the address of it:

That is probably Vesterbrogade. However, that is quite long, but I would suggest the part between Frederiksberg Allé and Brorsonsgade.
